I am so excited about the CSS challenge. There are so many different Web 2.0 tools to use out there I am grateful that the Childrens Service Section of the NJLA took the time to provide a scaled down version for us newbies/less inclined people, to use these great tools. This challenge helps take the intimidation factor out of using new technology. My initial intentions were to have my staff sign up but I said what the heck I may as well take the challenge. Although I am a branch manager that does not mean I cannot have fun too.
Ok the name. How did I come up with it?. Yes, yes I know when you think of couture you think of high fashion in clothing and by most definitions the word pertains to the fashion industry. Keeping up with the latest trends, craze, new ideas......see where I am going with this....that is exactly what a LIBRARIAN does which is why this challenge exist. Soooo a little play on the definition I got from Dictionary.com, Couture used as an adjective:
Being, having, or suggesting the style, quality, etc. Of a fashion designer...
Or in my case a LIBRARIAN!
There you have it, COUTURE LIBRARIAN! History has been made.
